Training Program

1. AVSEC Induction Course (5 days): Conducted at BCAS approved ASTIs of Airport Operator/Airline.
2. Airport/RA Training (3 months): Three months in civil aviation security operations before BASIC AVSEC.
3. AVSEC BASIC Course (14 days): Conducted at BCAS approved ASTIs of Airport Operator/Airline.
4. On-the-Job Training (OJT) at Airport (1 month): Complete a minimum of 40 hours of OJT on Security Equipment under guidance.
5. Screener’s Pre-certification Course (RA or ILHBS) (3 days): Conducted at an approved ASTI of Airport Operator.
6. Testing & Certification of Screener (Stand Alone) (RA or ILHBS) (2 days): Conducted by BCAS.
All these training programs are to be completed within six months, with candidates having a maximum of two attempts for each examination. In case of failure during the first attempt, the monthly stipend of Rs.15,000/- will be reduced to Rs.10,000/-. If the candidate fails during the second attempt, their fixed-term contract will cease without further notice.
