Selection Process
Selection for the advertised posts will be carried out as per the final order No. 19668/2022 by the Hon’ble Supreme Court, New Delhi.
Reservation
- There is a provision for 10% level and category-wise reservation of vacancies for ex-servicemen.
- 30% reservation is allocated for women at all levels and division-wise.
- Reservation rules for city soldiers and assistant constables will be followed as per government instructions.
- All reservation rules issued by the state government will apply.
Pay Scale
- Pay Matrix Level 4 with a starting salary of Rs. 19,500 per month
Age Limit
- Candidates must be between 18 and 28 years old as of 1st January 2023.
- Relaxation of up to 5 years is granted to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, or Other Backward Class (non-creamy layer) candidates.
- Local resident women of Chhattisgarh state can enjoy up to 10 years of age relaxation.
- Widows, abandoned, and divorced female candidates are eligible for a 5-year age relaxation.
- Upper caste partners of inter-caste marriages awarded under the Inter-caste Marriage Promotion Program can get up to 5 years of age relaxation.
- Recipients of Bharat Mamuk Nagar Pandey Award and Maharani Devampyata National Award can also receive relaxation in the age limit.
Educational Qualifications
- Candidates should have passed the Secondary Examination (10th class) or its equivalent from Madhya Pradesh State (Scheduled Tribe candidates are eligible even after passing the class).
- Proficiency in a relevant trade is necessary for the constable (trade) position.
- A heavy license is required for the constable (custodian) position.
Additional Requirements
- Candidates should not be physically handicapped, elderly, flat-footed, or suffer from any eye-related disease.
- Eye vision should not be less than 6/9 in one eye with day glasses and 6/12 in the other eye without glasses. The ability to distinguish between primary colors is also essential.

The selection process involves several stages, including scrutiny of documents, physical measurements, physical efficiency tests, written tests, and trade tests for different constable positions. Bonus marks may be awarded for proficiency in sports at the national/international level and NCC ‘C’ Certificate.
