india post office recruitment 2023>>>The Department of Posts, Madhya Pradesh Circle, invites applications from Indian Nationals for the direct recruitment of Staff Car Drivers (Ordinary Grade) under the General Central Service, Group-C, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial category. This recruitment is open to candidates from the general public.
Scale of Pay:
– Post: Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade)
– Scale of Pay: Rs. 19,900 – Rs. 63,200 in Level-2 as per the Pay Matrix specified in Part A of schedule of CCS (Revised Pay) Rules 2016, plus admissible allowances. (Previously, it was Rs. 5,200 – Rs. 20,200 in Pay Band-I with Grade Pay of Rs. 1,900.)

– Ex-Serviceman: 1
Please note that the vacancy reserved for Ex-Servicemen will be filled first from any category and then adjusted horizontally against the respective category depending on the selected candidate’s category (UR/EWS/SC/ST/OBC). In other words, the Ex-Servicemen’s vacancy is included within the total vacancies.
Age Limit:
Candidates applying for this post should be between 18 to 27 years of age. Relaxations are provided as follows:
– For OBC Candidates: Up to 3 years
– For SC/ST Candidates: Up to 5 years
– For Central Government Servants: Up to the age of 40 years
– For Ex-Servicemen: Up to a maximum of 3 years (8 years for SC/ST and 6 years for OBC) after deducting the Military Service rendered from the actual age.
Educational and Other Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
a. A valid driving license for light and heavy motor vehicles.
b. Knowledge of motor mechanism, including the ability to rectify minor defects in the vehicle.
c. At least three years of experience in driving light and heavy motor vehicles.
d. A pass in 10th standard from a recognized Board or Institute.
e. Desirable qualification: Three years’ service as Home Guard or Civil Volunteers.
