Period of Engagement:

The initial term for consultants will be three years, extendable for up to two more years on a case-by-case basis. The maximum period of engagement will be five years or until reaching the age of 65, whichever comes first. The engagement’s continuation will be subject to successful reviews every six months.

Allowances and Travel:

Consultants will be eligible for travel allowances (TA/DA) for official travel within the country, subject to prior approval by the Director of SFIO and entitlement based on their pay level. Young Professionals and Junior Consultants will be entitled to these benefits.

Location and Responsibilities:

Consultants will work at the SFIO headquarters in Delhi or any of its regional offices. They will perform duties assigned to them by the Competent Authority of SFIO.

Leave Policy:

Young Professionals and Junior Consultants will be entitled to eight days of leave per year on a pro-rata basis. In exceptional cases related to professional development and training, the Director of SFIO may relax this condition. Maternity leave will also be available to eligible female consultants as per Government of India guidelines.

Qualification, Experience, and Compensation:

The qualifications, experience, and compensation for consultants in various fields/domains are as follows:

A) LAW:

1. Young Professional (Law): Law Graduate with at least one year of experience, preferably with exposure to other investigation agencies and regulatory bodies in the field of Corporate Law. Compensation: Rs. 60,000 per month.

2. Junior Consultant (Law): Advocate with 3-8 years of experience, preferably with exposure to other investigation agencies and regulatory bodies in the field of Corporate Law. Compensation: Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 1,45,000 per month, depending on educational qualification and experience.

B) Financial Analysis/ Forensic Audit:

1. Young Professional (FA): CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) with at least one year of experience, preferably with exposure to other investigation agencies and regulatory bodies. Compensation: Rs. 60,000 per month.

2. Junior Consultant (FA): CA/CWA/MBA (Finance) with 3-8 years of experience, preferably with exposure to other investigation agencies and regulatory bodies in the field of Financial Analysis/Forensic Audit. Compensation: Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 1,45,000 per month, depending on educational qualification and experience.

3. Senior Consultant (FA): CA/CWA/MBA (Finance) with 8-15 years of experience, preferably with exposure to other investigation agencies and regulatory bodies, especially in the field of Financial Analysis/Forensic Audit. Compensation: Rs. 1,45,000 to Rs. 2,65,000 per month, depending on educational qualification and experience.

C) & (D) Banking & General Administration:

Junior Consultants in these domains should have a Ph.D./Master’s Degree or MBA in the relevant field/subject as specified in the TOR, along with 3-8 years of post-qualification experience. Compensation ranges from Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 1,45,000 per month, depending on educational qualification and experience.

Retired government employees with at least 10 years of experience in the required domain and grade pay of Rs. 7600 (Pay Matrix-12) and above are also eligible for engagement as Consultants.
