Eligibility Requirements:
To apply for this role, you need to meet the following qualifications:
1. You should be at least 10th pass.
2. Ex-servicemen with a good record in the Army, Navy, or Air Force and a minimum of 15 years of service are eligible.
3. Agniveers who have served continuously for 4 years are also eligible.
Your age, as of the notice publication date, should not be more than 45 years.
Recruitment Process:
The selection process involves the following steps:
1. Physical Test: Candidates must complete a 2-kilometer run within 10 minutes to demonstrate their physical stamina.
2. Written Test: If you pass the physical test, you’ll be invited to take a written test. This test will have 80 questions in total, with each question carrying 1 mark. Be cautious, though – for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. The questions will cover General Knowledge, Mental Ability, Current Events, and Shrine Related/Local Culture Information.
3. Personal Interview: Based on your performance in the written test, the top candidates will be called for a personal interview. The number of candidates called will be approximately three times the number of available positions.
Employment Details:
Selected candidates will be employed on a term basis for an initial period of one year. This term may be extended if your performance is satisfactory. The employment terms will be governed by the rules set by the Shrine Board.
How to Apply:

1. Complete an application with your Bio-Data (in original).
2. Provide a discharge book from the Army, Navy, or Air Force showing 15 years of service and an exemplary/very good record. If you are an Agniveer, show 4 years of continuous service.
3. Include your 10th class mark sheet or diploma.
4. Attach your qualification certificates/degrees.
5. Provide two self-attested passport-size photographs.
6. Include a Demand Draft for Rs. 200 (in original).
Send your application form, along with the mentioned documents and the Demand Draft, to the Chief Executive Officer, SMVDSB, Central Office, Katra (J&K) – 182301. Make sure it reaches them by or before 18th November 2023.
You have the option to deposit your application at the Central Office, SMVDSB, Katra, or send it by post. Just ensure it reaches the Central Office before the application deadline.
