Introduction:

The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, under the Directorate General of Home Guards, has released a notification inviting online applications for the recruitment of Home Guards volunteers. This recruitment drive aims to enroll 10,285 individuals for a term of three years, extendable by two years. Various Posts and Pay Scale:

There are multiple posts available for Home Guards volunteers, and the payscale will be as per the government norms. The recruitment includes 15%, 7.5%, and 27% reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes candidates, respectively. Additionally, one-third of the vacancies in each category are reserved for women. Ex-Servicemen and Ex-CAPF Personnel also have a 10% reservation.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must be citizens of India and residents of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The age limit is 20-45 years, and educational qualification is 12th pass (Senior Secondary). For Ex-Servicemen and Ex-CAPF Personnel, the minimum qualification is 10th pass. Height requirements are a minimum of 165 cm for males and 152 cm for females.

Method of Enrollment:

Enrollment involves a two-stage process:

1. Stage-I: Physical Measurement & Efficiency Test (PMET)

   – Qualifying height requirements and a 1600 meters race for different age groups.

2. Stage-II: Written Test

   – Selection based on merit, considering bonus marks.

Declaration of Results:

Results will be declared based on the total marks obtained in the written test and bonus marks. In case of a tie, the criteria include written test score, height, age, and alphabetical order of names.

Enrollment of Ex-Home Guards Volunteers:

Former Home Guards volunteers can participate in the enrollment process by fulfilling present eligibility criteria. However, their candidature will be considered only when duly discharged at the time of submitting acceptance for enrollment.

Medical Examination and Character Verification:

Selected candidates will undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet specified standards. Verification of character and antecedents will also be conducted through a Police Clearance Certificate.

Application Fee:

Applicants need to pay an online application fee of ₹100, plus convenience fees.
