If so, the Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) in Gandhinagar invites applications for the position of Consultant. This opportunity is specifically for individuals who have retired from Department/Units/Aided/Autonomous Institutions of the Central Government.

Eligibility Criteria:
– Applicants must have retired from the Department/Units/Aided/Autonomous Institutions of the Central Government on superannuation.
– The maximum age limit for applicants is 63 years as of 22/12/2023.
– Retired employees should have served at a level equivalent to Level-13A or above, as per the 7th CPC.
– Knowledge of government rules and regulations is essential.
– Medical fitness is a prerequisite, and applicants need to submit a Medical Fitness Certificate during the engagement process.
Application Process:
1. Interested candidates need to submit their applications in the prescribed format (Annexure-II), along with a passport-size photograph and a copy of the Pension Payment Order (PPO).
2. The applications will be scrutinized, and selected candidates will be informed of the commencement date and tenure period.
Terms of Engagement:
1. The initial period of engagement is one year, extendable for one more year or up to the age of 64, whichever is earlier.
2. Re-engagement is on a purely temporary and contract basis.
3. The selected candidate will receive remuneration equal to 50% of the last pay drawn (Pay minus Pension).
Preferences:
– Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Units/Aided/Autonomous Institutions of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE).
– Knowledge and experience in Plasma and Fusion Science & Technology are desirable.
Entitlements and Conditions:
– Re-engaged officials are entitled to 12 days of leave in a calendar year on a pro-rata basis.
– No other allowances (HRA, CCA, DA, transport allowance, etc.) will be provided.
– No transport facility or medical facility will be provided by the Institute.
Important Information:
– The place of work will be IPR, Gandhinagar.
– The Consultant is expected to work for 08 hours and 30 minutes per day on all working days.
– In special circumstances, Consultants may be called for services on holidays or beyond normal working hours.
– The Institute reserves the right to reject any application without assigning a reason.
