osssc forest guard recruitment 2023>> Bhubaneswar, October 20, 2023 – The Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has issued an advertisement inviting online applications for a combined recruitment examination to fill the posts of Livestock Inspector, Forester, and Forest Guard in various government establishments across Odisha.
Important Dates:
– Online Registration for fresh candidates: Starting from October 26, 2023
– Re-registration for previously registered candidates: Deadline on November 20, 2023
– Submission of Online Application: Starting from October 26, 2023, until November 25, 2023
The recruitment drive is in accordance with the Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (District Cadre) Rules, 2012, the Odisha Veterinary Technical Service, Group-C (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1983, the Odisha Subordinate Forest Service (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service of Foresters) Rules, 2018, and the Odisha Subordinate Forest Service (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service of Forest Guards) Rules, 2018.
Details of Posts:
1. Livestock Inspector: A total of 719 vacancies will be filled, with 60% reserved for all eligible candidates, and the remaining 40% for eligible Gomitra candidates.
2. Forester: The number of posts available may change without prior notice.
3. Forest Guard: The number of posts available may change without prior notice.
Scale of Pay and Conditions of Service:
The selected candidates for the post of Livestock Inspector will undergo a two-year Livestock Training program, receiving a stipend of Rs 7,200 per month. Upon successful completion of training and examination, they will be appointed as Livestock Inspectors.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates should meet the age and educational qualification requirements specified for each post. Age relaxation is applicable for various categories, such as SC/ST/SEBC/Women, Persons with Disabilities, and Ex-Servicemen. Candidates must also be proficient in the Odia language.
Examination Fee:
No examination fee is payable for applying for the posts.
Last Date of Submission of Applications:
The last date for submitting online applications is November 25, 2023. It is advisable to submit applications well in advance to avoid the last-minute rush.
