The recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies in various Group ‘C’ posts, including Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, Postman, Mail Guard, and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS).
Important Dates:
– Start date for receipt of online applications: 10.11.2023
– Last date for receipt of online applications: 09.12.2023
– Last date for online fee payment: 09.12.2023
– Window for Application Form Correction: 10.12.2023 to 14.12.2023
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for these positions, candidates must meet certain criteria, including age, educational qualifications, and sports achievements.
Age Limit:
The age limit varies for different posts:
– Postal Assistant
– Sorting Assistant
– Postman
– Mail Guard
– Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)
Applicants falling within the age limits specified in the table are encouraged to apply. Additionally, there is a relaxation of five years in the upper age limit for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST). SC/ST candidates can avail a total relaxation of 10 years.

– Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University and knowledge of working on a computer.
– Postman / Mail Guard: 12th standard pass from a recognized Board, knowledge of working on a computer, and a valid license to drive two-wheeler or Light Motor Vehicle for the post of Postman.
– Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): 10th standard pass from a recognized Board.
Merit Criteria:
Candidates will be considered meritorious sportspersons based on their achievements in various competitions, including representation at the state, national, or international levels, university tournaments, and school sports/games. Those who have received National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive are also eligible.

The selected candidates will be placed in different pay levels in the Pay Matrix, as specified in the Central Civil Service (Revised Pay) Rules 2016. The pay levels range from Level 1 (Rs 18,000 – Rs.56,900) for Multi-Tasking Staff to Level 4 (Rs 25,500 – Rs.81,100) for Postal and Sorting Assistants.
Application Fee:
– Fee payable: Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only)
– Exempted candidates: Women, Transgender, SC, ST, PwBD, and EWS
– Fee payment method: Online through UPI, Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, etc.
– Important: Candidates not exempted from the fee should ensure successful payment as incomplete applications due to non-payment will be summarily rejected.
