Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP), a unit of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), presents a golden opportunity for eligible and enthusiastic nurses to undergo “Proficiency Training” under the Medical & Health Services (M&HS) department. This initiative aims to enhance skills and provide a platform for professional development.

Key Details:

I. Upper Age Limit:

– 30 years (as of the date of the walk-in interview)

– Relaxation: 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and 5 years for SC & ST candidates

II. Qualification (as of the date of the walk-in interview):

– Proficiency Training of Nurses (PTN)

  – a) B.Sc. (Nursing) / Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery from a Govt. Recognized Institute.

  – b) Internship Certificate (if applicable).

  – c) Certificate of Registration from the Nursing Council.

III. Departments/Disciplines for Nurses:

– ICU/NICU/BICU, Medicine, Surgery, Obs & Gyn, Paediatrics, Casualty, Orthopaedics, Chest, and other associated areas.

IV. Duration:

– 18 months

V. Daily Working Hours:

– 8 hours per day in different shifts (A, B, C, G, and split G shifts)

– One day off per week

VI. Stipend:

– Stipend: Rs. 10,000/- per month

– Knowledge Enhancement Allowance: Up to Rs. 7,020/- per month linked to attendance

VII. Accommodation:

– Shared accommodation (subject to availability)

VIII. Medical Facility:

– For self at DSP Hospital only during the training period

IX. Leave:

– 15 days Special Leave (Max. 10 days of leave may be granted in one spell) during the tenure

X. Procedure for Application:

– Candidates need to appear for a walk-in interview as per the schedule provided.

– Submit two sets of filled-in & signed applications in the prescribed format along with required enclosures.

– A letter of undertaking with original documents/testimonials must be presented during the interview.

– Maximum 120 candidates will be interviewed each day on a first-come, first-serve basis.

XI. How to Apply:

– Eligible candidates may send an advanced copy of their application in the prescribed format to rectt.dsp@sail.in by 09.12.2023.

XII. General Conditions:

– Candidates must be Indian nationals with the required qualifications.

– Engagement is solely for “Proficiency Training” and does not guarantee subsequent appointment in Durgapur Steel Plant.

– Trainees will receive a monthly stipend during the 18-month training period.

– DSP reserves the right to reject or cancel candidature without assigning any reason.

– Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be at Durgapur, West Bengal.

XIII. Schedule of Interview:

– Date: From 11-12-2023 to 13-12-2023

– Reporting Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
