When a parcel is collected, if it’s within the same circle as the destination, yhen the collecting agent will delivers it. If it’s in another circle, it’s passed on to the next circle for delivery. Through this system, one person can deliver up to 100 parcels in a single day.
Tilak has also partnered with 300 dabbawalas in Mumbai to facilitate deliveries. His team of five individuals in the office manages parcel routing through technology.
The company’s application, “Paper n Parcel,” operates on a model similar to Ola and Uber. Users input the pickup and delivery addresses, and the app connects them with the nearest delivery person. For safety, the delivery person’s name and picture are sent to the customer, and parcels can be tracked in real-time. Once the parcel is delivered, the receiver digitally signs in the application, and the sender receives the confirmation through email.
